Your full blog post will show on the blog page. Shawn Spencer was born in 1977 to Henry and Madeline Spencer in Santa Barbara, California. His parents separated when he was a teenager, leading him to rebel and soon become distant from his father. He comes from a family of cops, his father Henry being an officer and, later, a detective for the Santa Barbara Police Department. He is hyper-observant, a trait developed and inherited from his father, and has an eidetic tonal memory, presumably inherited from his mother, and could've graduated valedictorian according to his file history read by Lucinda Barry. He also scored 100 on the Police Academy exam at the age of 15. Due to his father's extensive police training during childhood and early teenhood, Shawn developed an adeptness and a fondness for police work. When his father divorced his mother, Shawn, in his teens, began hating his father, and consequently lost interest in becoming part of the police force since he did not want to follow his father's footsteps.
