Now that Katherine is officially a MRS. (YAY!!!) I can share her gorgeous bridal portraits! We had discussed taking them at the College of Charleston, her alma mater this August. It’s like she knew my mutual love for Charleston and all that gorgeous architecture and Spanish moss on the old oak trees. Well, we planned for her bridals to be done that afternoon and kept an eye on the weather religiously. Well of course, mother nature doing what she does best, decided to start raining RIGHT before we were suppose to start shooting. So we came up with a plan b and headed to a hotel that granted us permission to photograph Katherine inside. Well, we all walked in and the look across our faces was, where on earth would we take her bridals at in here. I could just feel that overwhelming vibe of disappointment that the weather decided to be fickle and rain when we were suppose to take these photos. I kept looking outside and it looked as if the rain had stopped and the sun was shining once again. I turned to Katherine asking her if she wanted to go outside, check to see if the rain stopped and go across the street to the park to snap some photos. That way she would have that Charleston feel that I know she truly wanted. Well once we got outside it had done just that. The rain subsided and we ran with it! We ended up being able to go back to her original location in from of the College of Charleston and take her photos. I just loved how Katherine was so willing to go with the flow and then how everything seemed to work out so well to give her the vision she had always had for her bridal portraits!
